Sanjee and George

today i wud like to highlight two spechul pals - Sanjee the cat and George the duck. i met Sanjee when she came to twitter in June 2009. she lives in a house in Furrginia wif four ofur kittehs known as da House of Mostly Black Cats aka HotMBC. one of mai first memories of Sanjee iz at a pawpawty when mai tweets weren't being picked up by Tweetgrid. she patiently retweeted each and efurry one of dem through mai two hour dj set so dat efurryone cud see dem!

George iz a catnip ducky at da House of Mostly Black Cats. dat sounds like a dangerous job to me, but he claims to be da boss of all dem kittehs. George luvs to go on adventures and talk bout dem in hiz bloggy. he iz also well known among da anipals fur he barktending and dj skills. George haz been mai personal stylist fur many pawpawties helping me to find just da rite fing to wear!

Gone But Not Furgotten?

i iz so sorry dat i haf been away all week. unfortunately mom had a furry tough week at work, and we weren't able to do any posts dis week. bad mom bad! any way i just wanted to let all mai furends and anipals nose dat i haven't furgotten about u. i will make mom promise to do better dis week, and i nose she is furry excited about meeting ur staffs at Blogpaws in just two weeks. so hang in der wif me gang - i may be an old bunny, but i'm not gone yet!

Woof for a Roof

one of da fings i likes about mai anipals iz dat we help to keep each ofur informed about what happening. so when i saw da hashtag #woof4aroof, i got curious and went to see what it wuz about. turns out it iz a twitter campaign organized by Bailey Shepard to help raise money fur da Humane Society of Durham Region. A fire swept through da shelter in December 2008, taking da lives of more den 100 anipals. in its wake, doze who cared for and loved da anipals inside were heartbroken.

u can help increase awareness of da campaign by following Bailey and using da #woof4aroof hashtag. u can also join da Raise the Roof group on facebook. help to spread da word about dis important campaign to give da anipals a new home!

BlogPaws Shelter/Rescue Winners

mom came home da ofur day, and she wuz furry excited. she told me dat BlogPaws had announced da winning shelters fur BlogPaws 2010 - and dat Animal Friends, da shelter we nominated, had won! i wuz so excited dat i hopped up and down, of course i wud do dat anyway. mom wuz so happy cuz she haz supported Animal Friends fur over 20 years, haz done volunteer work der, and adopted one of der kittehs frum dem. dey are da only no-kill shelter in da Pittsburgh area, and dey haf a large education component and a TNR program. so congrats to Animals Friends and all da shelter winners, and fanks fur da work u do to help da anipals! xoxo

Birman Bond

so dis twitterversary fur da pawpawties haz me kinda nostalgic, ya nose? and i wuz finking bout sum of mai furends who i haf known fur a very long time ( a year iz a long time to an anipal). one of dez iz perrythebirman aka Birman Bond or dj birman to me.

perry wuz one of da original anipals dat i met on twitter, and he became sort of a mentor to me. i'm embarrassed to say dat when i first started to tweet i talked like a hooman - dat's not so strange really, i had never talked to anofur anipal befur - but dj birman helped me to get in touch wif mai inner-anipal! he also helped me to learn about djing and about blip.fm and grooveshark. wifout hiz guidance i wud be just anofur fluffy bunny wifout a creative outlet. we all nose how much da birman likes to pawty, he always haz a hidden stash of hooch, and he iz da only anipal i nose who haz his own theme song. so here's to u dj birman! xoxo

St. Paws Day

dis month we r celebrating a very spechul twitterversary - it's been one year since da very first pawpawty! as i haf mentioned before, i did not tweet before da St. Paws Day pawty - my mom hogged da puter fur her work stuffs. but i had so much fun at da pawpawty dat i decided to takes over her twitter account and boot her off! i luvs all da furends and anipals dat i haf met over da past year, and i especially luvs dat we are helping anipals in need while we r having fun. so pawty on anipals - we'll see u at da St. Paws Day pawpawty on March 20 & 21.
